The website has many different types.

I go for the “Crossing Paths” ones for walking.
Not let me down yet. I’ve done 24 miles in a day in these and they are great.

Very sensible! When I was a kid my mother ALWAYS insisted on having feet measured and shoes fitted properly - no cheap rubbish.
and Mrs DiS and I both very choosy about mattresses and tyres - won’t skimp on either.

Talk about tyres has reminded me

Michelin Pilot Sports on performance cars, Kumho all weathers on runabouts. Tend to change tyres on second hand cars new to me as a matter of course if it’s a cheapish car. May be overkill but if I don’t know the history or have the bill for the tyres it gives me peace of mind

Having grown up with nothing...and having most of it left, I find myself buying what is on offer.
I am fed, watered, clothed, homed and have enough to do what I want when I want. Named brand clothing has never appealed to my wallet and as your body gets above what is classed as 'normal size/fat', the pricing increases. The only foodstuff is branston and kelloggs, I support only one team...so yeah, that covers my life

I don't buy much stuff, but for clothing, Finisterre, Patagonia and TK Maxx are the first places I look. Also Decathlon for any sport - related stuff - they're rooted in the Lille area which is the textile area of France and do their R&D there. Their wetsuit gloves and boots are excellent.

Never understand why people say “I buy cheap”.

Okay. I guess if you’re really broke but buying cheap costs more in the long run because you have to keep replacing.

Better to buy an expensive shirt that lasts for 10 years than endless cheap ones.

You’re better off buying quality from a charity shop than tat from the high street. I’ve found some zingers at Emmaus, Sally Army, BHF etc .
