Given the amount of time I was awake last night going through various goal difference permutations, i'm going to say no.

But a question. If we did fall victim to the most spectacular choke in football history, do you think Palace would mention it to us? Or would they maybe feel that would be a bit classless and below them and just let it slide?

Haaland’s desire to beat the top flight goal scoring record is a slight concern to me.

I'm not asking Roberto, I'm asking *YOU*!
Yes, but one thing concerns me. What if USG end up in the Europa League too? The rules on having 2 teams with the same owner seem pretty clear https://www.claims.co.uk/knowledge-base/football-law/dual-ownership-of-football-clubs#:~:text=UEFA%20rules,-UEFA's%20'Integrity%20of&text=This%20states%20that%20no%20two,managed%20by%20the%20same%20person.
Even if USG make it to the CL, they could still end up in the Europa League if they finish 3rd in their group.

I got this wrong last time but my maths says a 6-1 defeat to Man City means even a 4-0 win by Villa still
isn’t enough for them. Assuming Spurs don’t win 10-0.

We'd have to get absolutely spanked, twice. For context, we've lost 5-1 and 4-1 in chastening defeats recently. A repeat of those still leaves Villa 2 or 3 goals short.

We are there.

I don’t see any disasters.
I am thinking that City will put out the reserves first half and be so far behind at half time that we’ll get a point minimum.

And I suppose if we had to, we could just defend.

We only got spanked as we had 7 or 8 in and around the opposition box for most of the game (which is of course the reason we've scored 70 goals this season).

I would actually be quite interested to see whether RDz would resort to pragmatism if we were 7 down to Villa, needing to keep an 8th out to qualify with 20 mins left. Would he then resort to a low block? Something in me doubts it

A 6-1 defeat reduces our GD by 5.

That reserve team did play at the weekend and did beat (OK point taken) Chelsea.

But the fact they've had a rest means that it's much more likely we'll see a blend of young players and familiar faces.
