For what it's worth

Caceido is our best player

Mitoma is our most exciting player

Dunk is our most consistent player

Estupinion is our best find, Who knew Cucu going would be to our advantage?

Gross is our best team player. When he is on the ball, we look better.

Ferguson is our biggest miss when unavailable

Solly is our player of the season.

Quite simply it's Solly March.

And if Southgate was watching the Charlton and Man U pens, he'd be nailed on for the next England squad. In all seriousness, this season has been the fulfillment of years of potential. It's been a pleasure to watch.

Wembley probably clinched it for Solly. And that’s a lovely thing. He’s been incredible.

It could totally justifiably be any one of half the side: Groß/Dunk/Caicedo/Perv/Mitoma. Any of them and one couldn’t argue. What times, what times.

The answer is actually Estupinan. He's the only irreplaceable player in the squad in his position. We have competitors competing for places in every position apart from that LB/LWB position which Estupinan has made his own. Best left back/wing back in the PL.
He seemed to be playing at centre forward for a while today!

I recall defending Solly in the past and saying that he is 28 which is peak for a midfielder/forward. Roberto has come into his life at just the right moment for him. A sliding doors moment if you will. Out of all the heroes in this team I think it would be pretty special to award this to him especially after Wembley.

A genuine observation and with absolutely no bad intention - but with it being too close to call between so many outstanding players, it would be interesting to know if both of those penalty misses serve as a negative on Solly’s season that nudges the vote in favour of others #finemargins

For me, it's a good old fashioned bit of xenophobia. If Gross had been bought from Lewes and born locally with Solly from Germany, I'd probably vote the other way round. The fact Solly is local and improved to the player we all hoped he'd be has tipped the scales in his favour. Whether that's fair or not is a separate debate.

I'd be happy if it went to any number of players this season. You could argue a case for loads of them.

It's a bit like The Oscars this season. Even a nomination should be considered a massive achievement, such has been the quality on offer

Solly is clearly our most improved player of the season. But beyond that? Hugely debatable

There's 20% of the season to go, so I've found a lovely fence to sit on for a while.

A genuine question: who's actually underperformed this season? Every single player is better now than they were at the start of the season.
And as I believe that either Dunk or Cucu have won the award every single season in the PL it says something if a defender isn't player of the season for once.

Football supporting is about emotions and sentiment, rather than anything else, and Mitoma and Moises have been immense this season, so it should be one of those two. But Pascal is something else and if nothing else should receive the All time Premier League, "Most Underrated Player".

Having said all that, it's Solly for me!

The last 2 winners of this title were sold the following season for in excess of £100M combined, on that basis, J P Van Hecke.

Ben White, possibly wind assisted by Leeds fans though.
