I'd pay a tenner (per car) for the P&R if the service was going to be massively improved as a result.

I suppose that's pretty complicated though, considering the traffic on the route and not being able to use double deckers etc.

If there is going to charge for P&R then it doesn't feel right to charge solely by the car (would encourage people to park close by for free and walk up to the bus) nor by the passenger (doesn't incentivise car sharing), so it would probably have to be a combination of the two.

But it still feels that P&R should be cheaper than the near-site car parks at The Bridge and the Uni, although the P&R does have the hefty cost of the buses to be factored in.

It’s all contactless that, and all the gates are left open as well, no one checks the actual tickets
Not at West Ham or Emirates from my experience. Is at Wembley though (after a game)

No text box at the end for othet comments for me suggests the club know exactly what answers they want to report already. Hope I'm wrong.

All this talk of a new covered area at the ground to eat and drink in and stay later. What about a covered Park and Ride queue? Or not closing one of the bars at the stadium in favour of another corporate hospitality lounge...

I have just completed the survey. I’d actually prefer cheaper ticket prices and no free travel.
Cheaper tickets is not going to happen. One of the questions is 'Did you know the club subsidise travel?'. If they are framing the travel like this, it suggests there is not a direct travel premium on the tickets...which is what I thought i.e. you wont get a cheaper ticket if they remove the transport.

Travel isn’t free, it’s part of the ticket cost.

An out of city stadium with inadequate travel links, absolutely requires a big park n ride operation. We were sold that as part of the dream.

Linked to that, 10 / 15,000 folk having to administer additional admin to organise payment or booking, that doesn’t exist just now, will be an avoidable bore. People may miss games.

Please PB - keep the current park n ride system as it is.

Should the club desperately need the cash, but there’s zero sign of that these days due to a wonderful transfers strategy, raise ticket prices by a few percent.

Just a thought and I haven’t read the whole thread but maybe the Albion will use the feedback to put pressure on the bus and train coys, and the council to retain and even improve the services that they provide that help get 30k people to the ground.
I’m sure the Council, bus and train coys use us as a cash cow where they get their cash for a mediocre, at best service.

I'm sure season ticket prices were increased a few years back, specifically to include a travel levy amount towards the "free" (at point of travel) system.

Did I dream that? Or can I expect a nice reduction on my ST next season?

I was pleased when I heard a travel survey was to come out so we would be able to give views on how this could be improved. I certainly was not expecting this kind of survey. . I wonder if this would have come out if we were in a relegation battle. It is not supporters fault the ground is in the sticks and think it is looking like greed from the club.

My impression is that Southern Rail / Network Rail are vast entities, that don’t care much for the musings of a football club needing their help 25 times per annum. In their big picture, passenger numbers are tiny.

I expect PB has to do a great deal of creeping, just to get what we do.

That’s true I think.

But wages, fuel costs, general inflation have escalated since.
I get that, but my point is, are they thinking of removing "free" travel forgetting that it's not free, we pay towards it? If so they should reverse/remove that travel levy!

I remember thinking at the time they would keep referring to it as free anyway, then one day remove it. Just a way of excusing the increase in ticket price.

Yes I am cynical.

Once again a poll rigged. Whatever your answer they'll twist it to their advantage.
Big question is the 'will you renew' to which I guess everyone will say no.
P&R surely should be per car as it always is with events other than EPL. Per person would encourage people to drop off passengers at the ground first thus causing chaos.
Training day parking at the ground was £5 and car (coach) park was full. A small cost people will pay, the same as P&R for the FA Cup.
No chance everyone will say no. Loads don’t currently use the free travel anyway.

…..or the club is equally frustrated at the issues (poor bus service for P&R and unreliable trains), and they need data to back up further action ?

I’d be astonished if the club were to reduce prices in the event of the travel subsidy being taken away.
