Possession stats are rather misleading – I watched the game and it most of the time Chelsea were on the ball, Tottenham had them pretty much where they wanted them.

For what it's worth I thought Spurs looked very off the pace today, quite laboured and lacking creativity. Goals were both nice but beyond that they offered little.

Chelsea looked directionless, and distinctly mid table. A very difficult watch if you're a fan, I'd imagine.

Quite an astute move by GP to make this public. A subset of Chelsea fans are going to have to own responsibility for any future difficulties in finding the Potter replacement. Any top manager has a choice of jobs and the Chelsea one is becoming more toxic by the week.

And it is possible those 'fans' live in Singapore or somesuch and are jolly angry cos they lost money on a bet

I'm starting to think how much of Potters success here was down to his managerial ability, and how much was down to the amazing recruitment and development set up we have.

I'd like to say I don't doubt his ability as a manager, but I genuinely am starting to question it - seeing how he is doing such a poor job at Chelsea, and how De Zerbi has improved the team since Potter's gone.

Isn't that weird?

Only thing that has really changed is that 1) the team is crushing worse teams and 2) the boys can't buy a win against a reasonably in-form team. Used to be the opposite. Still 3 points isn't worth more against Bournemouth or Everton than they are against Manchester United or Arsenal.

The "improvement" part is also interesting. I saw the 5-2 win against Leicester as a warm-up ahead of the game against the same lot a couple of weeks ago. One of the games was a fierce, excellent performance with the team outplaying and beating the opponent firmly... and it sure wasn't the game after the "improvements".

Ben Roberts is regarded as one of the best goalkeeping coaches in the game, if Chelsea get rid of him as part of the Potter sacking then he will have no problems finding another job.

RDZ is still way off proving we have improved. Some very good performances but Potter provided those too. He's offered us hope after the Potter et al travesty, but the clamour to hail him as a genius feels premature at the least.
