My company mobile phone does not allow the use of the mobile ticketing and my daughter does not have a phone.

So I will now be paying another £40 per year on top of the £1200 I am already paying for the 2 season tickets.

Not happy.
Is your daughter too young for her own smart phone?

Only new or replacement ones incur the charge .
Not true (sorry if it’s already been covered) I knew a charge was coming but didn’t think it would be £20.
I have got a photo ST card and received an email this afternoon asking me to change over to using my phone or paying £20.
Personally I think £20 is a bit steep, I would pay £10 but probably will change over to having my ST on my phone.
I used my phone for the Liverpool FA Cup game and found it easy TBH.

I have also been told by others that they cant use their company phones for personal use.
That really isn’t the big deal you are making it out to be. Its a standard business practice and companies are a lot tighter on mobile device controls since GDPR.

On a personal level why would I want to have to use my company mobile for football. Unless I was on call the work mobile was switched off when I wasn’t at work and left in the laptop bag at home.

This FFS. People who can afford multiple hundreds, if not into the thousands of pounds on season tickets but can't spend a few quid on a phone, and instead moan about how unfair it all is. Unbelievable
And most people will know someone with an old phone that is knocking around in a drawer. My STH is on a 6 year old Android phone that a cracked screen and no SIM card. Don’t have to go buy the latest iPhone to use mobile tickets.

……proof that the £20 charge works as intended

Sort of, as a millionaire plumber I can afford £20 though

I realised using my phone for the Liverpool cup game was a doddle, so makes sense to add my ST to the phone rather than pay an extra £20.

Despite the binfest, I agree this is a pisstake. My dad in his mid 70s has never had a mobile phone and never will - admirably in my opinion. To charge £20 to someone like him is a piss take tbh. Should be free for seniors.

I’m the same age as your Dad and had a mobile for over 20 years.

My 83 year old step mum and long term season ticket holder now Albion + member would call BS on that. Anyone using age as an excuse for not having a smartphone is taking the piss. It’s nothing to do with age

Well, thank goodness it's much easier to vote, far less shennanigans, and no cost when it comes to providing ID. All this rubbish to be allowed to vote really would be a scandal!

Jesus Christ I’ve found the bellend comment section by my father choosing not to own a gadget - not even worth the air… night night x

A) it’s to do with a personal choice - you seem to think society chooses what he should do?

B) I think as a generation thing as they are a new thing of the last 10 years or so / 25 years for mobiles it’s everything to do with age - as well as that thing again - personal choice. That’s not to say there aren’t many seniors with smartphones - it’s again, a choice. But I’d argue it a fact the biggest age group of people that don’t own a smartphone would be seniors, so would be common sense. In fact nobody should pay £20 for a bit of plastic how the tickets were always done if they choose not to own a smartphone.

C) It’s not an excuse it’s a choice - How is anything BS? Call BS on what exactly?

D) Wind your neck in - your attack on an innocent opinion post has genuinely f***ed me off now. Not often a post on here has irked me as much as that. Bellend.

Let’s respect your Dad’s choices.

Pretty arrogant to say that I or my parent is that age group too and is fine with mobiles, so your Dad should be too.

Yes it’s nothing to do with using it or anything - he just doesn’t want one or see the need. Absolute respect to him from me for it. Never had one before, got a house phone, doesn’t see a need to have one. Absolutely personal choice.
