I'm not one for having a pop at players but he definitely looked out of his depth tonight. Sad to see a great player for us look out of place tonight.

I have no idea what Potter has done to him, but he just isn't the same player as tghe one who left us back in the summer.
He seems to have far more license to wander now, and can frequently be seen playing in the opponents half and unable to get back and defend when required. He always seemed to play with a smile on his face when he wore the stripes, far less so now.
As you say, sad to see a very good player look so out of place.

I genuinely think the Amex match - when March took him apart - has shattered Cucu's confidence.
But a good example for future players and clubs not to force transfers too soon. The grass isn’t always greener on the other side. Going from a POTS for a Prem club who finished in the top half to being booed by the your own fans within half a season suggests money and Americanised football clubs won’t always leave you feeling happy and loved once the dotted line has been signed.
I bet Cucurella’s watched a few of our games this season on the TV and feels a bit like he’s missing out. He knows he’s stagnated his progression at Chelsea whereas you look at all our players like March, Mac, Ferguson, Gross etc and they all seem to just keep getting better and better.

Well from a purely footballing point of view l imagine that all of the ex Albion contingent who left for the money, (inc. the gentleman in your avatar), are beginning to regret it now.
Though l dare say that a quick check of their bank balances is still making them smile.

I honestly didn't think he was a good as folk thought. Never said it in here as I would have need a tin helmet. £60m made him one of the most expensive transfers for his position. Ludicrous really. Bloom is a monster.

Based on his Albion performances, he's a very good player. It depends on what's around you though.....there would be lot's of big egos at Chelsea which isn't to everyone's liking. Perhaps the environment at that club isn't particularly friendly or supportive. London can be a lonely place for many people whereas Brighton in its own way is a closer knit community. It also depends on what's happening in your personal life too. There are lots of unknowns in all of this but yeah....he's turning into a bit of a tragic figure now.

Interesting isnt it. Cucu, Biss not at the same level as when here. My view is that they both need direction on the pitch and lack the leadership around them. I always thought Biss would struggle without Dunk in particular, are we seeing the same.
Not after the way he left.
