I would imagine Caicedo is currently feeling somewhat sheepish, embarrassed, and mightily pissed off at his new scum agent for getting in his ear and making him put that RIDICULOUS post out at the weekend. He's been made to look a proper mug in the last few days, when it could all have been so different.

I worry how this will have affected him. Only time will tell whether we see the same phenomenal midfield dynamo between now and the summer, or whether we're now landed with a sulky prick. He's got some bridges to build now, not least with RDZ.

f***ing agents.
He’ll be absolutely fine. It’s business, not personal. And he’ll probably FIRE his f***ing useless advisors (if he has any sense).

Still in Brighton
So if Chelsea and Arsenal have bought replacements. Liverpool are cheapscapes. Real and Barcelona can't afford him. I can't see many clubs coming in for him in the summer, which is good for us.

He is a Man U fan isn’t he? I expect he will end up there as long term replacement for Casemiro. Maybe he will be a sub this weekend. Come on to a hero’s welcome and then all will be good. Man of the match vs palace and then all will be forgotten.

Now I am just waiting for my 65 quid from sky bet. Thanks uncle Tony. I will count that as a little payment back from the 500 quid (or whatever it was) that I donated in c2004 for my name on a seat that became a stone on the ground that became a stone on the wall. Either way in ender 20 years we have gone from begging fans for cash donations to keep going at an athletics track to rejecting 70 million quid for a lad who has not even played 30 games. Exciting.

This has been so high profile that it will certainly make other top 6 clubs and their awful entitled fans realise, if they didn’t already, that when we say a player isn’t for sale we mean it, unless they are prepared to pay absolutely ridiculous money.

On social media absolutely everyone was convinced we would cave in and sell. In future when bids come in a quick reminder of this situation will sharpen a few minds.

Arsenal will still want him I suspect, if they cant get Bellingham in the Summer but they’ll have to compete with several other clubs by then - Jorginho is an emergency stop gap for them while Elneny is on extended injury leave.

It's been a good window. Caicedo is still here.

In keeping him, Tony Bloom has made a huge statement. We can face down the big clubs and retain our very best players. That's massive.

We lost Trossard, but we found he could be improved upon, his replacement having already replaced him before he left. His replacement cost us a lot less and is already a premier league sensation.

We are better placed at the end of the window, than when we started it.

We have to remember it’s a job to them a great job but still a job. If I was a player all I would say to him would be ‘still here then fella’ 🤣
I would probably be pissed I’ve missed out on a five year deal for £150k+ a week and hope the chance comes around again.
Once back on the pitch I would be the same player giving 100%.

Just said on talk sport an improved deal for Caceido will be offered to him.

It’s certainly been a very satisfying few days since those ridiculous demands were made known last Friday. The dismantling of Liverpool on Sunday with that wonder winner from Mitoma, the “How much are you offering, Arsenal? £70 mill? No - f*** off!” response from Tony. The club standing firm despite the insinuations that we’re a selling club - we’re not, but only when it suits. And, finally, knowing that our wonderful team play with a big heart, hot blood and big balls is such a comfort and joy for us fans. I love it.

Blimey that was an exciting transfer window!! Usually everyone is disappointed that we haven't signed a striker for £30m. Most of us are ecstatic that we haven't sold a player for double+ that! Who would've seen this happening 10 years ago, let alone when the Goldstone was flattened. Yeah, yeah, I'm old so can harp back to the 'bad old days'. I think he's just going to come back feeling a bit embarrassed & everyone will carry on as normal. Players will give him a hug & say 'you stupid twat' whilst doing it. Then put phone numbers for different agents in his rucksack! :lolol: Onwards we go! I think I'm going to start learning to play poker.

Yeah, just think where we could have been if we could have sold Peter Smith for £70M!

Hope they’re wrong!
Thank you, I won £260 @ 11/2, only because you posted. I would never have thought of betting on a transfer.

[Less a later £40 stake lost, hedging so no loss if Arsenal had won].

Extra sweet … I deprived Gooners somewhere of cash, arrogantly thinking it was a sure bet on Friday evening.

That’s the important bit. The ball is in Caicedo’s court. The agent stuff is irrelevant. It’s just more convenient for fans to have someone to blame other than their idol. That’s why players employ them to take the shit. It’s Caicedo that has to put this right, starting with the manager. Nobody else but him has anything to prove.

Arsenal fan - decent one - yesterday said they would be going for Rice in the summer.
