Who'd have thought in the summer that we would lose Bissouma, Cucurella, Maupay, Trossard, Potter & co, Roberts, Bruno, Winstanley by January and be 7th in the league and not getting wet sheets over it. ~£160m for the lot is not bad business at all.
And sadly Mwepu

This could be a masterstroke. I have a feeling we will sign a replacement in January and the fee is good, all things considered. Also Arsenal have still to play many of the teams around us, so this could help us secure a better league finish.

Liked Tross and will miss him but some players just don’t fit with a new manager and so far, you can’t argue with RDZ’s results.

free ticket to a pl winners medal, happy for him to go. shame it had to end like that but that was of his own doing. does now mean that we have ought to be bringing someone in soon though

I think that's true but isn't he on record saying he would only move if he still got regular football?
What he said maybe but he cannot stay at Brighton unless he apologises and changes his attitude.
Bet to let him go and be a squad member at Arsenal.

Doesn't he have to play a certain number of games to qualify for a medal?

My dream scenario is that he acts up and misses out on a medal and goes out on loan to a Championship club next season!

it's five appearances (sub appearances count) to qualify for a medal

Wherever the person we are next likely to sell plays! Probably a CM unless they still think Gilmour will come good. Or a Trossard style player as backup/competition for Mitoma/March. Maybe a versatile Pervis backup that can cover/play elsewhere. TBH, it is experience I worry about losing.
I'd pretty much agree (although I take the point made by @WATFORD zero). I'd like us to sign a few players this window and next to really challenge for a starting place immediately (ie not for 6/12/18 months); if we don't, we may well accelerate RdZ's departure (and I don't think anyone wants that). Priorities for me are:
CB -- Colwill would be ideal
(D)CM -- resigned to losing at least one of the best CM duo in the world in the summer
LB -- Pervis back-up (this one can be cheaper)
Someone who can play across the front (ideally with the flexibility of Trossard). For three positions -- RW, LW and (false) 9 -- we've got Solly, Mitoma, Ferguson and Welbeck that are really challenging. Then there's Sarmiento and Enciso (and potentially Buonanotte) a little down the pecking order. A couple of injuries to the first four, and it could derail our twin assault on the PL and FA Cup.

£27 million, we've done very well there all things considered.
My hope was £25m+BAT (Bloom Added Tax). Thought about £30m, but it's fine.
