Blasphemer! You now have to believe absolutely everything (recession/inflation/cost of living crisis etc) is caused by Brexit as it justifies spending 6+ years spouting project fear bollox on this thread!
Which “project fear bollox” are you referring to, specifically?

Haha! I recall Project Hope And Pray informing us that once we leave the bloc, many more will leave and the EU will fall like a house of cards.

Which was just more uninformed bullshit from the clueless ranks of the Leavers.

This was the Express back in 2016, wishful thinking

Saving our own Union is now the priority

Yet another lie from the Vote Leave campaign and Johnson's Brexit cabal, but enough were obviously taken in by it

Timely, given the current NHS crisis

Imagine being one of the clowns that appeared in the video, wonder what they got paid...

1. We're now two-third of the way into the decade following the EU Referendum and I'm still waiting for one single, tangible benefit of leaving the EU.

2. Literally ZERO member states have followed our lead in looking to leave the EU, despite the 'Domino Effect' the Brexiteers predicted.

3. Indeed, the number of member states is set to increase, not decrease, with 7 candidate countries including 2 that have applied since we left.

When one of the principal architects such as Michael Gove can't offer a single tangible benefit it you know its an issue.

Labour clearly have issues rejoining the SM but for the LD's its a different story, they need to campaign with this. Plenty of disillusioned voters in southern Tory seats.

Surely one of those countries is Turkey, they were set to join imminently in 2016 I seem to remember.

If Turkey had joined we'd be invaded by small boats from non-EU countries like Afganistan, Iran, Iraq and Syria...

I understand they're on the verge of doing so but want to make sure the EU army is setup first so they can slot straight into that. And that's definitely just about to start, it must be because we were told it was starting any minute now back in 2016.

It's only taken 2 years to put the lies of the Brexit cabal firmly and conclusively to bed. This week's benefit ? Increasing staff shortages fuelling the NHS crisis

At what point is someone going to have the balls to finally stand up and say that this is a complete economic and social disaster and we need to rejoin the Customs Union ASAP. Because the situation is only going to get steadily worse all the while the elephant in the room is ignored

Well Johnson cleared out almost all the voices of descent from the Tories, I'm not holding my breathe for this and much of the UK press are complicit

To me there are have been 2 things, Brexit itself and the consequences of having the Vote Leave government. They latter don't just have mad ideas but they are actually serially incompetant and corrupt with it.

Now we experience the consequences and we're now wedded to austerity 2.0.

I agree with what you say, but it was always going to be an incompetent/corrupt Government that implemented Brexit as all politicians with any level of competence and honesty across all political parties backed remain

Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia had official candidate status before we left, Ukraine and Moldova have applied since we left while Turkey have applied but that appears to be at the bottom of the EU 'To Do' list.

If the non-Turkey 7 are admitted then that will give the EU a clean sweep of the Iron Curtain countries bar Belarus.

Worryingly for Russia, Georgia applied for EU membership in March 2022 but was denied candidate status in June 2022.
