I was basing my observation more on the real life of the classroom and school corridor. Interaction between the sexes has changed considerably since the internet took over. It’s pretty awful to be honest. We get lots of training on it but nobody seems to know what to do about it. One thing is clear though and that is that society is a lot more f***ed than it used to be.
Yes, I would I agree that younger people behave in a different way than they used to.

But are we really more f***ed than the days of men in the workplace thinking it’s okay to sexually assault young women? From when the likes of Saville prowled the corridors at the BBC?
From when it was taken as given an actress would have to sleep with a director?

Perhaps we are just more aware of it now because young women are empowered and can speak up for themselves?

He was trying to get at Thunberg by being dismissive/abusive about something she finds incredibly important, she just replied in kind.
Julia Hartley Brewer is married and has a daughter, I severely doubt she would be at all happy if her daughter brought a fella like this Tate geezer home, or her husband acted like him, but so in denial of climate issues is she, that she piled in with the **** on Greta Thunberg, f***ing awful woman.

Have to disagree.

Growing up we had a respect for the elderly or at least those who were older than us. There was a far greater interest in listening to them and learning from them.

Many non-western cultures still hold that great respect for their elders.

In western society however unlike previous generations these little shit stains especially the younger Millennials and Gen Z are so self centred that it's all about them all the time.

Sure there are some kids who are more like generations past but they aren't the majority.
I’d say part of the problem might lie in this kind of attitude from adults like you.

It depends which elders it is though, doesn't it.

Elder telling you about their experiences in the war. Yep, respect ahoy.

Elder telling you how you simply need to cancel netflix to afford a house? Nah, you're OK.

This Tate guy sounds like a completely cock, but it is people like Julia Hartley Brewers and their selfish view of the world that are the real danger. Telling us driving diesel cars is OK, that climate change is nothing to worry about, that Brexit will be great, that the Tories will always be great and Labour will always be shit.

There's a cigarette paper's width between her views and the universally vilified Katie Hopkins. Brewer needs to get a lot of shit for this.

Reverse it to talking about "small tit women" or something and it would definitely be labelled sexist tbh.

Not that I really care about this small (or in my case average sized..) injustice. For the last 5000 years, at least, body/looks has been a more important, sensitive and potentially hurting subject for women, which pragmatically means you could be more liberal about making such comments regarding men without inflicting as much damage (unless the subject actually has a small dick; but usually it is not a comment about actual penis size). Obviously neither radical feminists or the self-victimising men of the far-right would agree with this but IMO the opinions of these are of limited interest...
I think I would say Julia has Penis envy, best thing about her is probably her tits.

The issue is, there isn't much to respect from the elders these days.

Yes, because it was much better when smacking a woman on the arse was part of the fun at the pub, the vast majority of young people are a lot more respectful to the opposite gender.

As a woman who worked with men in the forces and in an electricity company, I would disagree. Misogynistic men have always existed, but women are more empowered to fight back now, and the internet allows them to be shown up for what they are.

Purely for research purposes, I just put myself through the interview Tate did with Piers Morgan recently (a pair of cocks quite frankly)!

On a number of occasions Tate referred to himself as 'the most famous person in the world'! Says a lot about his motivation in all of this ...

I now need to go for a lay down ...

They are both truly irritating individuals.

That said, Greta is in no position to mock the phyiscal characteristics of others. Despite how pathetic they are.
As I said in my OP ... I'm not a 'fan' of Greta ... but you seem to be suggesting she has some 'physical characteristics' ... not in a positive way? Care to explain??

She wouldn't know what his characteristics are but she is showing him up for his attitudes. Don't tell me you've never called a boastful driver with big cars someone with a small member? If so, it's very surprising. I've heard men say it many times.

Most boring line out there, every generation says the one after them is worse, just be a bit more opened minded to change and you might not be so miserable and fearful of doom.

Yes, that’s a good point. A different set of problems although the problems you describe are still happening and in many ways accentuated by the internet. My fears are for the sexualisation of kids and the way they see the opposite sex as something to be used. I see the consequences when I have to break up classroom fights in afternoon lessons and the cause is invariably something toxic to do with sex. Long term damage is being done to kids’ ability to have relationships because of the way they view the opposite sex. This applies to both girls and boys. By the way a lot of the fights are between girls.
