Give me a song that sums up how you see England’s World Cup journey finishing

It won’t be this will it?

This fits perfectly for before the first ball was kicked as well as how I'll feel when it is all over, regardless of where we finish.

Win the group and we'll likely be playing either Senegal or the Albion's three musketeers in the next round. I'd back us to win either. Should avoid France in the quarters as they'll win the group. Capable of beating any of the other potential qualifiers from C & D would mean a semi final against Spain.

Take it away Willy:

Did he, by any chance, own any Lou Reed records?

I mucked this up good and proper. Beat Senegal in the next round and we have the winners of D1 v C2, not the other way around. That looks like France. I'll change my tune to the, no doubt soon to be gleeful, Proclaimers:

For once I'll resist posting Tim Minchin and instead share, from 'Spare Ass Annie and Other Tales' Michael Franti backing Old Bill Lee's unlikely Christmas heart warmer.

Apart from anything off the obligatory Phil Spector Christmas Album, I wouldn’t switch off the following just for the vocals
