A thought which actually occurred earlier, is tonight’s game the first ever December fixture for the England mens team?

Kane as a ‘false 9’ works a treat. Far better than the lone striker role up against two pacey CB’s. He’s great at playing in team mates.
Agree - really creates the space for Bellingham and Henderson to get forward.

Think what’s almost as impressive as Bellinghams ability is his brain, look at the positions he picks up… it’s like he’s got eyes in the back of his head.

I wish I could transplant “confidence”. I know that sounds ridiculous, I’ll qualify it. If we could play from the off against France with the belief we had when we went 1-0, we’d win the tournament.

Yes, I know this is the truth for every team, but England more than anyone. England out of all major nations are worst at game management. We start doing an impersonation of how the likes of Italy or Spain play, and are terrible at it because it’s just not us.

Where would you transplant the confidence from?

As opposed to most PL/ENG players with eyes in their wallets and pants . . . . As soon as he gets cashed in to the PL he'll fall into line.

No, see you've got it completely wrong again. in previous tournaments we were naive, played gung-ho and pumped it forward. Cleverer oppponents played more patiently, took the sting out of us, we got frustrated an crumbled. Now WE are playing the intelligent game and credit to Southgate for identifying that and implementing it
