Bloom’s syndicate will not bet on anything connected to Brighton. But StarLizard, at the forefront of data driven sports analysis, certainly provides data that is used to help the club that TB owns.
Indeed. But Tony Bloom isn’t and has never been a director of Starlizard. His finance man Adam Franks (also an Albion director) was for a bit but stepped down a few years back.

I don't think there is any reliable way to know if he would bet on Brighton or not.

Not that I think he does, for a lot of reasons, but the way the Asian betting markets work it would be nearly impossible to detect it.

Don't you think that sort of approach to recruitment would've been discusses in the negotiations for the job?
Yeah, and Chairmen never lie or meddle.
Yes, they already think they have downgraded by sacking a world class manager and bringing in a manager with no top level experience from Brighton. They mostly don't think much of Cucurella either.

Yes, it is the narrative, sadly, and it's getting pretty tiresome (and I say this as someone who wasn't initially too pleased when Hughton was sacked and GP brought in). The bloke did an excellent job here, the last six months especially - humbling United twice and that fabulous afternoon when we trashed Leicester and went to 4th. place in te PL. It just seemed that life as a Brighton fan just couldn't get any better!
Of course I was pretty narked, angry even, when he left in a hurry to go to Chelsea (Chelsea, FFS, of all the crumby clubs!) but that doesn't alter what went before. The constant revisionism that some are indulging in, like a full woke re-writing of history, is tedious to say the least.
Entitled Chelsea fans (who thought from the start he wasn't famous enough for them) might think he doesn't know what he's doing, but that's their problem. It doesn't alter the fact that he'd done a brilliant job to get Brighton and Hove Albion to where we were when he left.
I and most were very supportive of him when he was here, but it isn't revisionist to say an amount of patience with results was required. I am glad we had him, was gutted he left, but now quite pleased he did.

Barber said “I think we need to talk”…..that was two weeks ago.

certainly how I feel. Potter moved us on a lot but De Zerbi is hopefully in the process of taking it to a different level.

the players are reacting well, and he seems to “care” about them.

Nice piece from Lallana on the Seagulls website today. Very open, transition to new ideas wasn't easy but now there's trust. I like Lallana, always seems to speak freely.

I agree. I must have been quite difficult for De Zerbi to take over a successful team and suggest changes let alone make them. It's not just the players though, I feel we are all now beginning to better understand RDZ and his approach to the game.

Yes, very difficult for him. Interesting that Lallana says de Zerbi is very hands on, has lots of warmth and charisma with the players. This should help bring all/most of the squad into a new comfort zone 🤞.
Dr Zerbi is genuine, sincere, we can see it.

But is he emotionally intelligent? I fear not, bouncing around and yelling like the rest of us idiots. Shockingly immature behaviour. I'm outraged. Bring back the man that says it's our fault.
