I don't see why "any decent manager would have won the tournaments" when there was a fair number of teams having equally good or better players.
Because if the dullard Southgate managed to get them to a semi final, even your glorious self would have managed it. Therefore, someone who knows what they were doing would have won the tournaments. Your defence of Southgate is futile. He is a disgrace, and hated even more then Potter.

Meh - blah blah blah
Enough sportwashing to fill a laundrette for the next 20 years and watching washing go round and round is not my idea of fun. If I was actually going, it might be different but I’m not.

I'm not really defending Southgate, I think he makes some poor decisions and most of all that he is a coward. But I'm not sure results would be better if he wasn't a coward.

But yeah not quite sure why I'm trying to discuss something with you.

Will watch our games with little interest, but really hope Ecuador do well
I kinda hope the South American sides get knocked out early so our lads are not too fatigued for December. 🫤

In my own strange world
Totally disinterested in England and the "World cup" really disagree with this whole Qatar thing, wrong on so many levels, I will probably watch bits and pieces of it but couldn't really care less.

Really looking forward to seeing our boys play for Ecuador, Belgium, Japan, Argentina etc.
Couldn't give a rat's arse about England, same out of form players being picked by waistcoat.

This isn’t a World Cup to my mind, it’s a FIFA revenue generation scheme. I’ll be ignoring it completely and considering football on hold until 26th December.

A real shame, as the World Cup is traditionally a highlight in our household, but there is consensus in our house that human lives and the right to love who you choose (provided adult consent is possible) mean more, and to paraphrase Naboo, we’re turning our backs.

Nice big list already of people who won't be posting anything football related between a day after the Villa game and Boxing Day. Enjoy the silence guys.
Great, enjoy your football chats with just Swanny (for the negatives) and Sheebo (for the positves) :lolol:

And so it begins...

Not really bothered about England....:bla::bla::bla:

Waistcoat yes man is useless...:bla::bla::bla:

My dead granny would win tournaments with this team...:bla::bla::bla:

If we 'luck out' and get to the semi finals...:bla::bla::bla:

Then watch all the same people saying all of the above jump on the England bandwagon if we go all the way. :lol:

Tiresome bores, the lot of you. :yawn:

About my thoughts too.

Just about generated enough interest to watch us in the Euro Semi's and was ready for the failure of the final so wasn't disappointed with the pathetic showing. More of the same expected from the WW, Kane, Slabhead et al.

Was going so well until “go all the way”

Dreamer, there has been NOTHING in the last few months that suggests that is even a remote possibility. Albion have a better chance of making the Champion‘s League

This.

Whilst I’d be following Ecuador and not England if I was not boycotting this horrific tournament, the smell of evil in Qatar is too strong to just hold your nose:

I’ve gone with 3. 3 for England under Southgate, but a 1 for the World Cup in general.

FIFA can do one, absolutely corrupt, disgusting organisation. It will be hard to watch a minute of the football without thinking of the tens of thousands of innocent people literally worked to death to make the “magic” happen.

Exactly, if we didn't have a coward in charge, or a poor coach. If we'd someone who would have picked players in form and knew how to respond tactically or knew what they were doing - it would have been a formality.

But yeah, your right (for a change). Not sure why you respond to my posts on here, you clearly have no idea what your talking about.
