Most of these won't be anywhere near our shortlist. To get close to an idea of who we are likely to be after, you simply have to to list the traits it's obvious the club wants in a manager.
Bloom has always wanted a team focused on passing and possession.
Anyone playing direct or being particularly dogmatic about certain formations is likely to be discounted. Anybody whose reaction to a period of bad form is moaning to the media or asking for more money is out.
Manager will have to buy into our project, they'll have to believe in a bottom-up approach, in youth development and the development of the squad. They will need to be a coach.
Personality type is essential and they are likely to be humble and intelligent.
Remember this and you'll get close to who we are after and I'm absolutely certain that we have a number of long-standing targets that we will be speaking to very soon.

Very sensible comments

None are appealing. Tomas Frank prob the best of that as has done it in the prem with an small club

I can't help thinking this has been in the making for some time. Chelsea obviously had their ducks all in a line before they sacked Tuchel so I can only assume that we did to. I expect a quick announcement once Potter is confirmed to Chelsea. I'd expect no less

Ignore all the press bollocks he actually did OK with a young United side.

Not saying I want him, just saying should be a candidate in my opinion

Let's just trust in Mr. Bloom, he will have a replacement lined up.

I voted Poch because I really like the guy and for the job he did in a similar sized role at Southampton both on and off the pitch. For various reasons I saw that at close quarters at the time and he was great tactically and the players loved him in a similar way to ours love Potter.

I appreciate it is highly unlikely though so would say Knutsen after that.

Bodø/Glimt beat Mourhino’s Roma 6-1 not long ago. Has Östersund beating Arsenal vibes to me. Plus I’m half Norwegian. Get Knutsen Kjetil in.

I think Nuno Espirito Santo should be added to that list. There is a rumour he might be in the running. Could do worse I reckon.

I'm throwing Liam Manning in the mix. Reckon it's the sort of profile they're looking at, at least.

Should have been a public poll. I bet the Palace twonks are the ones who voted for Parker, Dyche and Tickle.

Knutsen followed by Bruno for me. We can't change our style with the players we've got now.

I just hope our recruitment stays on target as no doubt Chelsea will be in for Caicedo and MacAllister in January.

I’d try and get OGS I think. His spell at Man Utd had some success and I think there’s a good coach in there in the right environment.

Probably enjoying his pay off though

I thought his tactics were far too pragmatic, too rigid, often too defensive for us. He rarely strayed from 4 at the back with 2 holding midfielders. Very little flexibility or innovation given the squad he had. Already Ten Haag has shown more flexibility than his two predecessors. Not an appointment I'd want to see tbh.

They've just spent £250m...reckon they would be the best part of a £100m, can't see that happening. Reckon one of the reasons they've gone GP is working with what they've got.
