I know they had just had a 9-0 hammering but Parker looked shattered and was almost speechless in his interview after the game. No surprise the owners bottled it. I think he is out of his depth in the PL but will be OK at a lower level. Not sure if Tommy Elphick as a coach will turn things round, even if he did play for us.

Agree. As an owner you’re looking for the right reaction from the manager, positive going forwards, caught them at their best, players working hard etc. instead it was a car crash of an interview where he basically said his squad weren’t good enough. I mean that maybe the truth, but you don’t ever do that to your players as their manager. They’ve had a win, they’re not bottom, they’ve just played City, Arsenal and Liverpool - he needed to be a lot more positive about them.

Definitely more to it than the results. I thought last week he looked shell shocked and his interview after the Liverpool game he looked broken already. Not happy with the owners and what he's go to work with.

I think that's the nail on the head. Their club statement said that that in order to progress they need to be aligned in their strategy and that they needed to show belief and respect one another. His reaction to the Liverpool result seems to be at complete odds with those sentiments.

Yup. He alluded to the club not having the squad to survive in the Premier League. It’s a good time to play Bournemouth!

Losing to Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool is hardly unexpected for a promoted team, however the manner of the defeats, 16 goals conceded 0 scored is alarming. His interview after the Liverpool game may as well have been a letter of resignation - I thought at the time he sounded a man already defeated.

Spot on.
It is going to be a tough gig for whoever takes over, but, a positive attitude is going to be a bit of a necessity at the interview stage!!!

Ridiculous no money to spend his main striker injured. Did the owners think they should of got something at Liverpool
Primed now for Dyche that’s about all you can do with that side.

The statement from Bournemouth basically says it’s to do with financial sustainability and their views no longer aligning. They gambled big in January to get promoted so I guess aren’t happy that Parker wants them to spend further which presumably wasn’t in the plan

The 9-0 is just a cover for a summer long dispute with the owners and his frustration at his squad and transfers that boiled over in his post match/Liverpool interviews . They aren't exactly pulling punches in the statement
" it is unconditional that we are aligned in our strategy to run the club sustainably. We must also show belief in and respect for one another.'That is the approach that has brought this club so much success in recent history, and one that we will not veer from now"

Shocking decision and timing. 3 very tough fixtures plus a win Vs Villa and not in the relegation zone. A squad looking thin on quality and no chance of any replacement bringing in their own players with just 2 days left of the transfer window.

I bet he wished he had stayed at Fulham instead of jumping ship
