The past?

It’s always preferable isn’t it?

For most, the past is better than the present or the future because of a state of mind people develop as they lose both their capacities for imagination and hope. Then as you look back. You forget the bad bits. Oh what fun we had!

As discussed ad nauseam, passim, the last 7 years were at HGSB. Very good school but I hated most of it. I was 62 years old before I realized why :lolol:

I have very fond memories of my time at Elm Grove juniors in the early to mid 70's and Patcham Fawcett Annexe as well as Patcham Fawcett main school from the mid to late 70's.

What schools did you attend?
It was always a family myth that my grandmother started there when it opened - but as she was 11 in 1893 this obviously was not so. Maybe children from neighbouriing primary schools went along for the opening ceremony though. My father and his big brothers all went there though - barely a hop and a skip from Whippingham Road!
I went to Polegate infants school and Polegate juniors - spent a happy year in the old black hut with a stove at the back at the top end of the playground! Great place for watching the trains on the cuckoo line too - went right past the playground.

Your grandmother was 11 in 1993? Several underage pregnancies in your family?

Berengaria Primary in Limassol 73-74.
St Barnabas Primary in Market Lavington 74-75
Ayios Nikolaos Primary in Ayios Nikolaos, Cyprus, 75-77
Steyning Grammar School 77-84

Don’t really have a feeling, or much of a memory of schools before ‘77. Coming to boarding school in Steyning is what got me following Brighton, mainly because Eric Steele came and spoke in assembly. I had no idea what or where Brighton was at that time, but it seemed appropriate to support the local team. Prior to then I was a joint QPR and Dirty fan.

Woolwich (Polytechnic) Secondary for Boys

(it was the 'for Boys' but that I largely regret now. I came out full of knowledge of useless stuff but didn't have a clue about girls. I was a hopeless case when it came to chatting up women.
