Funnily enough I know someone that got in wearing shorts and flip flops. He said he had an in grown toe nail. Did the job :)

Going to be 30 degrees next Saturday, so maybe the club might reconsider the shorts rule! ???

I think I'm most annoyed by it as I only ever got to 1901 for the first games of the season, and be hugely uncomfortable in the heat in trousers and then never get to sit in the warm 1901 club over the winter

My recommendation for the heat in trousers is to shove an ice pack or a bag of ice cubes around your ‘nads. This will be refreshingly comfortable but the downside is you’ll look as if you’ve pissed yourself. :drink:

Sorry Dave I would 100% prefer to be strutting my stuff in the Albion Hawaiian shirt and I am older than you

The last Albion shirt I bought was the THANKYOU NHS shirt. Haven’t bought one since, At withdean I used to buy one every year as I knew the club needed every penny we could spend.

Now for me it’s such a commercial decision to bring out 3 kits a year, and it’s not as if the club are on their downers, ( and the current design is crap IMHO) so I won’t be buying one soon- I may look if anyone sells their really good away shirt from last year on eBay. But I would not buy a new one at £50.

THEY HAVE!! Blimey, club in doing something sensible shocker.....hold the presses!

I emailed the club about potentially relaxing the dress code during the hot weather and have just had the following reply...

It has recently been confirmed, and communication will follow, that smart shorts will be permitted for Augusts matches - Newcastle 13th, Leeds on the 27th.

The dress code has also been amended whereby collared shirts are no longer a requirement.

We hope this comes as good news and we look forward to seeing you on Saturday,

All the best,

The 1901 Club team

Happy days!! And well done the club!!

In a pile of football shirts
And don’t forget to have your lanyard on, outside of your shirt when on the train travelling to the game.

Errr, you must wear and display the lanyard at all times, not just on match days. Never disrespect the lanyard.

Err, there are no lanyards any more.

Interesting that the club has a hard line on trousers but no concern on the piss soaked ones!

Edit: just seen updated post, piss soaked shorts it is!

Oh bolleux, I just got a pair on midnight blue chinos and a blue linen shirt with a collar !
Anyone know if they are relaxed enough to allow sandals with the shorts ?

Someone needs to tell Frazier Crane. Every episode he opens his door marked 1901 and he's always wearing a suit and tie.:lolol:
