Hi, my brother has pulled a few strings and managed to get us into the 1901 for the Newcastle game.
It is my first visit to the Amex and I am thrilled.
What would be suitable to wear though ?
Are smart jeans and a classy Hawiian shirt ok, or should I get a pair of chinos and a more conventional shirt.
This was totally unexpected and I would like to get tips from those who have been, ta.

Smart jeans are fine. Shirts need to be ‘collared’. There’s a possibility that they’d think you were taking the piss with a Hawaiian shirt.

I’ve chosen to ignore the fact that ‘classy hawaiiian shirt’ is a clear oxymoron

Enjoy the game and the first visit to the Amex!!

Make sure you have a collar on your shirt, don’t wear shorts or flip flops. Anything else is fine

Enjoy, the views are fabulous.

Love the shirt Mike. I never owned one before moving here, I now have about 10, but as stylish as poss.

Go with it and lap up the weird looks

Smart jeans and as long as the 'classy' shirt has a collar you'll be fine. Smart trainers are allowed in the lounges but I did recently check about dining and it suggested shoes were needed? Might want to look into this if you're eating....or just play safe and wear shoes.

Above all though, enjoy the game and your first visit!
