Hopefully we'll see a debut for Enciso off the bench. Caicedo for Lallana would be my only change to Nobby's suggestion but I hope we sign a first choice LB/LWB. March is a fine squad player but we need a specialist for that position.

The starting XI from Saturday for me, any injury concerns aside. That had dress rehearsal written all over it and I think we can safely say the players remembered their lines.

No one trusts the new boys? Interesting.

To me it's a case of who on earth do you drop? Even though I assumed Cucu won't be playing, which I don't know to be the case, (and I forgot a player) it was very tough to not include Mwepu, Maupay, let alone the new fellas.

Also, forming a subs bench, even with 9 slots is tough. No Duffy or Clarke in mine. Signing Grillitch or Colwill or someone or keeping Cucu would make it even harder

The squad depth is something we really have in our favour this season.

If it has to be Solly then it has to be Solly. Certainly l'd rather seem him start there than Mitoma. Far too big a game to be making his debut in l would think.

Agreed. I wasn’t advocating Mitoma for the weekend. But it wouldn’t surprise me if he ends up being the LWB solution.

IE the team Vs Espanyol

Solly will play RWB, his understanding with Pascal is taking on Bruno/Knocky proportions.

Leo will play LWB of sorts. One of his top qualities is that it's often difficult to tell WHERE he is playing (see Spurs (a)).

United will probably win but they are still nowhere near a team. 5+:1 on an Albion win is ridiculous IMHO.

UTA.

I know these are only predictions (re Cucu) but…..

Having kept a stiff upper lip all summer and said stoutly ‘we can live without Biss and Cucu - we have new exciting options’….having actually seen our potential line ups for match day (minus YB and MC) I feel a little scared.

Someone please reassure me?

In the woodwork/post-game penalty game against Manchester United in 202, possibly the best game I've seen Brighton play, Solly March was easily the best player on the pitch. I know March has said he prefers to play on the right wing but I hope he starts as LWB on Sunday.

Impossible to predict really, but I wouldn't be upset - or surprised - if either Van Hecke or Clarke started in a back three with Dunk and Webster (Veltman and March as wingbacks).
