Just spoken to lovely lady in supporters services, and there is more blocks to be released but it’s dependent on sales of current blocks, so if goes low in next two windows then I guess they will release a block at a time.

And then it turns into the Tottenham FA Cup situation with people waiting for better blocks to open and the club claiming demand isn’t there.

Wasn’t that the match when everyone’s non supporting mates (no loyalty points) wanted a day out in London and take in football match? Manchester is a bit further away.

My brother In law just received this as he sent an email as he’s in a similar situation to me having to wait till Friday so his son is able to get one…..

Thanks for your email.

We will be releasing other blocks. However Manchester United have instructed us to sell the blocks in a certain order so we have to adhere to that, although we expect to be able to make the other blocks available over the coming days.

Kind regards

Joel

The concourse at Man Utd is not great but the view of the pitch at Old Trafford is pretty good in the away blocks wherever you go. There aren’t “better” seats or blocks to be released - so no reason to not buy now if you’re intending on going.

But the availability within the blocks is much worse.

I logged on at 9am this morning to get tickets for me and The Boy who is now finally in my loyalty points group, at least for this game. 70 seats available in one block dotted about everywhere and 100 odd in the other but all at the back or next to the Man U fans. Someone with fewer points can then sign on later in the week and get aisle seats lower down.

It really isn't great and was a constant theme last season.

I bought tickets for 13 away games last season and didn’t really understand all the gnashing and wailing about availability/ small allocations etc

Ahh, Joel. He's great. Must be a tough job dealing with all that relentless whinging and moaning on a daily basis.

But the club have to release tickets as per the instructions of the home club. This was made clear last season and will probably be made clear again next year!!

They don't "have" to do anything. They can take the whole allocation immediately. I bet you don't see Fulham released block by block.

They may well have taken the full allocation but are still required to sell them in the order the home club require. If we dont sell out the they can return a full block. If they sell them randomly but dont sellout then they have to pay for the unsold tickets. They cant return random seats for utd to then sell. It might not be ideal but it does make sense to do it this way.

I agree, the Tottenham one was disappointing, but other than that, there was not a problem. Wolves and Leeds were hardly selling until big wins, and then people complained there wasn't enough when half the county decided they wanted to go.

Chelsea is an example. First-dayers get stuck in the corner 'til the behind the goal ones get released.

Bottom line is, whether it's the home club issuing at fault or the away purchaser, the fans are put last.

What's new?

My take on it has always been get in early if you can for tickets he who waits can get no ticket

Sorry not to reply sooner but missed this post . Looking at our site i think the only other blocks which may still be released are s229 and e233 both upper tier and on opposite ends of the three already open , which makes sense . Ticket sales seem a lot slower today with still 400 in e232 and 150 across e230 and 231 still available , will in all likelihood go to albion + and even purchase history i feel .

E132 is the only remaining away end block which we can have
