He wanted to go , lack of celebration with his goal against wolves said it all really , we need another decent defensive midfield player now

Holy moly. We sold Bissouma with 1yr left on his contract for the same fee as Bayern are paying Liverpool for Sadie Mane! Way to go Tony, what a deal!

Best Brighton you'll see in a while, probably.

Some of the criticism he has received here this season pretty much says it all. Joel Veltman does 7/10 performances = mr Consistent. Bissouma doing it = "downing his tools". A consequence of more than two seasons of destroying pretty much every single PL midfield over and over again. Best defensive midfielder in the league. Tottenham are going to be strong next season.

You seem to know what you're talking about but your tedious chipping at some NSC posters, and sanctimonious generalisations do sometimes get on my tits. Not the thread for having a pop Swanny. We all know how good he is.

Now, which freaks are going to boo him when Spurs visit the Amex this coming season?

Because there will be a few, I guarantee you.

Can't be happy with this. Anybody convincing themselves that the way forward for BHAFC is to sell our best players as soon as possible to turn a profit....head, wobble.

Meanwhile we give Gross an extended contract.

No ****ing ambition.

A shame. Obviously time to move on, and by jingo he gave us some moments to cherish, but I feel he could have done better. I think he fits into a Conte world, a sturdy cog in a machine, but I would have liked to see him develop more with his forward thinking. The lad has some mad skills and elsewhere they might have greater chance to flourish. Little bother though. He's gone, we made a profit, and can treasure some tackles and flair for an eternity in our memory banks.

Man, you're in for a rough ride... every club except PSG and Manchester City (and previously Barca/Real) sometimes sell their best players, because such is the food chain. It is highly unlikely that Brighton will ever be ambitious by your standards.

Long term is it good for the game for a handful +1 of teams to be able to basically get anyone they want by crooking their finger?
