I know some are older, but I lived through Thatcher and everything that came after.

As you get older you see both the negatives and positives of every regime, often clearing up the mess from the one before and invariably getting into a mess themselves.

This lot unashamedly appeal to hatred, prejudice and division with a populist tax payer funded cheque book to divert attention.

This is the first of all those Governments that I can only describe as vile and I don't use that word lightly.

Labour were severely tainted and damaged by Corbyn, but Brexit has completely re-invented the Conservative party.

For me, the worst government in living memory. I don't vote Tory, but the some previous Tory governments never really bothered me. Just politicians doing their thing. But this is crisis to crisis, and dangerous populist distractions to cover up ineptitude and corruption.

Folk deserve better, whether it's a different group of Tories or an opposition party. I don't think I've ever despised a government so much.

Yep. Once again the government broke the law. Once again, they got caught.

Withdrawal from the European Convention on Human Rights might be the result. How very sad for our Country.

“Asked by reporters if the UK would withdraw from the European Convention on Human Rights, which the Strasbourg court upholds, Mr Johnson said it "very well may be" necessary to change the law.”

Too many parallels with 1930's Germany for comfort now.

Many people think the ECHR is European and therefore trying to ‘rule us’.
It was instigated by Winston Churchill, meant British lawyers helped to write it, and Johnson’s maternal grandfather was president of it for a while.

This is how far we have come down the rabbit hole. I fear for this country.

It will be interesting to see whether these latest round of insular culture wars aims at getting the Blukip right back on board will help in the upcoming by elections.
Also interesting to see whether the stupid manufactured culture war arguments stop when Johnson is finally booted.

There is clear agenda is try and use the Rwanda thing to get us out of the sphere of the ECHR.

Question for Johnson....What would your hero Churchill think of you?

Agreed. Very dangerous too; this cabal must go but it is now clear we cannot rely on decent (?) tory MPs to do the right thing. Tension is building up....

Yeah, it makes you wonder doesn't it, bit of a win/win for them really. Some toxic red meat if it takes off and a chance to really stoke the flames of the culture war if it doesn't.
