Very interesting and sad how he died (George Boole, that is).

In late November 1864, Boole walked, in heavy rain, from his home at Lichfield Cottage in Ballintemple [42] to the university, a distance of three miles, and lectured wearing his wet clothes.[43] He soon became ill, developing pneumonia. As his wife believed that remedies should resemble their cause, she wrapped him in wet blankets – the wet having brought on his illness.[43][44][45] Boole's condition worsened and on 8 December 1864,[46] he died of fever-induced pleural effusion.

A good example of why homeopathy is not only foolish but dangerous.

While I fully respect the field you work in I have to state homeopathy can work. An example : when younger one of my sons swam at least 4 times a week. He developed a rash known as swimming pool disease. It gradually became quite painful so I took him to the GP who said there was nothing he could do, just stop swimming. Took him to a neighbour who was a homeopath. She gave him a treatment which cleared the rash up within two weeks. I use homeopathitic sleeping aids after the doctor refused to give me any more sleeping pills - they work like a dream - excuse the pun. Doctors should open their minds and be slightly less beholden to multi-billion pound drug companies.

Coincidence. 'Placebo effect'.

There are millions of people who will claim thay prayed to Jesus and what they prayed for came to pass.

That does not prove the existence of god.

Homeopathy does not work. If you get a 'result' it will be pure chance. This is why 'alternative' medicine practitioners will say their 'cure' only works in those who 'believe'.

And take note. People have been jailed for not using conventional health services to deal with a sick child who has subsequently died due to negligent quackery.

'Alternative' medicine can appear to be very effective when you aren't really ill, or you have something that will clear up by itself.

This is not my opinion. This is well tried and tested fact.

Edit: the highlighted bit overlooks the placebo effect. As discussed elsewhere. And as noted elsewhere the placebo effect is generated in the patient by the patient - the alternative medicine itself is not the cause of any health improvement.
