Rondon definitely made an impact.

Mostly on Rico Henry's shin.

Just need rich to snap on the final whistle and get suspended
He's tried kicking someone to get suspended, he's tried throwing flares into the crowd to get suspended, it hasn't worked. The PL isn't going to suspend Richarlison, full stop.

I note there were numerous flares thrown on to the field when Everton got their first. Presumably since neither the police nor the FA/PL can decide whether it's legal or not, the fans are fine to throw flares whenever and wherever?

Ridiculous penalty decision. Brushed his arm and didn’t even change the trajectory of the ball. Friend (of the big 6 teams) couldn’t wait to give it having barely glanced at the VAR screen.
I wonder if the VAR people and the lawsmakers look at this sort of thing, and think "what a good job we're doing - it's a big improvement to the game if random penalties are given for accidental handballs that don't affect the game".

Would be sweet.

But he’s a snide who never quite does enough to get a red.

The Everton forum’s predictably bitter. Blaming their woes in this match on an EPL conspiracy against them.

I was a big fan of Romero ploughing into him at WHL earlier this season.

I don’t know why teams kick the ball out for him anymore.

Blame the ridiculous law in place, hand was in an unnatural position and changing the trajectory doesn’t get taken into consideration.

Think Everton will be absolutely fine, as I predicted following the Merseyside derby defeat they showed enough spirit and we know they have quality and their superb wins of Chelsea and Leicester showed that to be the case. It would take a bizarre sequence of results now to send them down including Burnley winning one of their remaining two games, Everton getting a single point or less from their remaining two games AND Leeds winning at an in form Brentford.

Generally agree, they should be ok - the only factor against them is their final game being at Arsenal. If Arsenal are playing for a CL spot, could be tough for Everton to get anything out of it.

My only prediction in all this is that I think all 3 clubs involved will pick up more points. Any of them who can find a win is in a fantastic position to stay up

I cant see how Everton get out of being in the same situation next season, they have no money and over priced/paid squad.

I dont overly rate him, but Pickford has pretty much kept them up

Saw an Everton fan online saying there is a conspiracy to get them relegated as the EFL wanted a "big team" in the Championship to boost viewer numbers. They were seemingly serious too.

If Leeds fail to beat Brenford, Everton will 100% be safe. Probably Burnley only need a point from their two remaining games.

It's a stretch to call their win over Chelsea "quality". They relied heavily on Chelsea's inability to hit a barn door on the night, and they only scored because Chelsea literally gave Richarlison the ball on the edge of the penalty area for a free shot.

I think they'll stay up, but the very lucky wins over Newcastle and Chelsea and very lucky point at home to Leicester are not a sign of quality.

Best of luck to Arsenal tonight.

If Newcastle fail to win then albion guarantee equalling the best ever league finish of 13th.

I don’t think Everton are safe at all. Palace are more than capable of getting at least a point up there and I can’t see Everton getting anything at Arsenal.

Burnley are also showing ‘spirit’ and were a little unlucky not to get a point at Spurs. Leeds also showed ‘spirit’ too.

I can see Everton relying on other results on the last day. That’s a lottery.

Us to finish above Palace and Everton survive or Palace finish above us and Everton relegated?

I would take Palace finishing above us and Everton relegated personally.
