Which brings me to the glaring issue with this one, the title should be:-

"Moises Caicedo - singed from C.S.D. Independiente del Valle".

***cough***

Should it? I've seen other boards where it's just the player's name.

Which leads me to threads like the one this morning which was about Dunk, only it wasn't about Dunk and it didn't have his name in the thread title.

If you want to spend all your day poking through that sort of thing for mention of a player and the evening seeing if the special class in the Pit are behaving you'll drive yourself nutty in days.

I guess then I should of written

'The thread title needs changing as Beerschot, by quite some margin, isn't the latest news!'

People do it deliberately, you know. It winds the grammar police up, so it's worth it.

Seeing as I have just done the same below! I’m just being picky in response to him being ultra picky……..

So not wound up….. but amused.

That was a fascinating watch. At times it's like watching Bissouma's double, at others he's knocking it about like Lallana.

You could argue that Lallana's work here is done and he is surplus to requirements. I think were Moder still fit that would certainly be the case.

As multiple players said, Lallana is perhaps the strongest link between the staff and the squad... his last year of the contract will be respected. And it is not like any other team is going to offer a 34 year old Lallana a deal with PL salary.

I dont think he is surplus to requirement, he is still useful, but I think he'll rarely be in the starting eleven next season. Seems like a clever guy and I doubt he is going to complain about getting less and less time on the pitch.

Backup player next season and then moving into a coach role would be my guess.

Plus Mac that can seemingly do everything now.
Mac, Moder, Mwepu, Moises, Alzate is more than good enough for next season without Biss and Lallana. Assuming Lallana has been offered a coaching role here it’s a great opportunity to start working on that. With Gross and he still about as steady heads, things look very promising.

I don't think it's healthy for the Albion paying a guy £90K a week who isn't going to play, and as for leaders we have Dunk, Welbeck, Mac, Gross, Cucu and others like Trossard and Webster who should be ready to step up. But you're probably right.

I may be wrong, but I thought I saw something at the time of his signing that his wage structure would reflect his transition from being primarily a first team player to a lesser role of more coaching than playing?

This is exactly the point. If he was a mid ranking player in terms of wages, I don't think anyone would doubt the wisdom of keeping a player around who is decent around the dressing room and may take a coaching role and might well be good at it.

Isn't Moder expected to miss about half the season with his injury?

His transition has already begun. He’s doing his badges I think they call them.
