Look, he’s a young lad, nobody should expect him to be tucked up in bed by 10pm.

But if you’re out on loan, trying to reignite your career and it’s going so badly you’ve just been booed on then maybe, just maybe don’t let yourself be filmed next to somebody clearly doing laughing gas. Whilst I’m not particularly arsed it’s just asking for trouble, isn’t it?

I was.

Which is why I know that at the end of the game the pitch was invaded immediately and that the Brighton players couldn't get anywhere near us to acknowledge our support as most of the Boro fans in the stands covered the pitch. Also that the Brighton players were kept in by CH partly for their own safety and partly for the talk that set up the next season. And that Bloom must have ditched the boardroom niceties PDQ because he was on the same train home as me.

You weren't though, because you're a Palace fan.

Yep, Boro fans (inside and outside the ground) were a complete bunch of ****s that day. A couple of our ‘usual’ first team were in the crowd, and me and junior met several at the hotel we were staying at. There was a picture posted of Tony, Paul and Chris the following Monday in the boardroom planning for the next season as ‘back to business’.

If I was paying someone £10k a week (assuming thats what he might be on), I'd expect a lot more from them, regardless of their age. With that salary and position comes responsibility. If you don't like it, then ship out.

Hopefully, we'll never see him back here.

Newspapers claimed that "The £20k per week Premier League Ace"... Given the accuracy of the rest of that sentence, it's fair to say they have no clue either.

I wouldn't knock any player on here except to say.
At THAT 'Boro game, after FT I saw a current player totally distraught and crying with his family, tears of frustration that he couldn't get us over the line. That he had let the fans and club down.

I would never publicly name that player, some things are sacred, but it is hard to imagine Connolly doing that.

I mean, there’s literally TWO current Albion players from that era still playing, so…

With 10k I was playing it safe. Either way, it's our club's money he's getting and it should come with responsibility. I'm not sure how we get that message into his head, who's the right person to do it, or whether we even want to expend energy doing it.

I’m not really up for this witch hunt, but this kind of thing is nonsense. It’s not about being young, it’s total disrespect to Wilder and Boro and total disrespect to us. You simply don’t let your friends film you, let alone upload it, in situations like this unless you’re totally delusional and utterly disinterested in being a well paid professional athlete.
Sadly, it really appears he has no interest in proving people wrong.

I'm disappointed that G Pott couldn't get a tune out of him. Wilder appears a different type of straight-talkin' manager and it appears he can't get a tune out of him either. Maybe he needs to find the "right kind" of manager to change his ways because without that he doesn't seem to have the nouse to do it himself. Shame but he does appear to be heading for a career dump (while still getting very wealthy so maybe he's not bovvered). If he did play for the Albion again I would certainly cheer him on as I do like a bit of redemption/boy done good.

Wasn't the pillar of rectitude that is Shane Duffy detailed for that job at one time?

None of this is relevant and the original poster who called me a palarse liar is a moron.
Some of us,about 100 stayed around after the game to cheer the players off when they got back on the Coaches.

We didn't all skulk off like rats as soon as we could, some showed loyalty and stayed to show them we appreciated the job they had done ALL season.

Agreed - don't remember any kind of witch hunt when this happened and 3 of the players are still featuring regularly for us.
