So Everton are going to get 10 more points than us? Our run-in is tricky, but theirs is very tough. I'm not relaxing, though....

The Burnley game was one where I thought Everton would get some points.

- Man Utd
- Leicester
- Liverpool
- Chelsea
- Leicester
- Watford
- Brentford
- Palace
- Arsenal

I can see them getting something from Watford. But other than that, they are not getting another 6 to draw level with us (assuming we lose every game).

The rest of our season needs to be about winning a couple of games and nicking the odd draw so we turn around the run we are on and not have to focus on who is below us.

Looking at form, I'd say you were right.

Looking at how football often works I'd say Lampard wanting revenge on Chelsea for sacking him, plus all the external questions disrupting them there's points to be won there (see Brentford beating them at the weekend, Real tonight). Brentford and Palace safe without a realistic chance of europe, so not really fighting for it that's more points there (especially if palace are also looking to an FA cup final). Arsenal without some key players were steamrolled by palace last night, tierney is out for the rest of the season, by that point they may have solidfied or lost 4th spot.

NB I don't think Burnley and Everton picking up points means we'll go down. It's just I can see Everton avoiding relegation on the above basis.

Don't want to have to rely on other teams around us. Our lot need to grow a pair and kick on from this poor run.

Can see why Burnley dicked us after tonights performance. Are our lot up for the fight ? I hope so as there's a long way to go yet.

Awful result for us. Burnley have a very easy run in compared to us.

We probably need 3 points to stay up. So soton or Leeds otherwise we are goners.

Have you see Everton’s next 5 fixtures?

We’d have to lose every game - even then can’t see both Everton AND Burnley getting to 34. Some of you really need to sort the underwear out.

DCL looked well off the pace. Probably tripped over his little Gucci handbag in the dressing room.

Good thing what Lampard wants and doesnt want will have little effect on their results. Pretty sure he wanted them to win tonight but unfortunately for him his team wasnt good enough.

I don't think it's just the remaining fixtures, it's the mindset. Everton have lost 10 out of 12 games since the new year. The two games they won included beating Newcastle with a flukey 99th minute winner. They must be wondering how they are actually going to get ANY points.

Sadly, you don’t have to substitute many words in that post to make it true of us…

So you think we wikll get another seven points and end the season on 41? We have to score those things called goals before we can even start to achieve that.

Burnley are fighters. Perfect team for a relegation battle. Our defences (including Bissouma) are solid, unlike relegation rivals, so confident we can draw our way to safety.

Bookies now think Everton are heading south … 36231A9B-1043-4E83-B999-9B1C04A5B597.jpeg

Those odds are interesting - Leeds are apparently 25 times more likely to go down than us. I guess it shows just how valuable a few points are at this stage of the season.

Apparently Dyche said "lads, it's Everton" at half time
