Should be peak storm here now, 90+ mph gusts, have to say the squib may not be damp but it certainly isn't tinder dry. The only flying objects I've seen so far are some leaves, coming your way in an hour or two, I think your roofs are safe but you may need to pick the bin up later.

If he's anything like me, he's probably completely pissed off with going to pay and ending up in never-ending queue for the cashier behind loads of people who use their local petrol station to do a weekly grocery shop FFS.

Maybe. But the pilot is missing out on a Ginsters and a Mars Milk for the trip back; his loss.

Currently in Eastbourne bit of wind and surf but certainly not a storm as yet so hopefully this is it, basically a winter's day.

You think this is windy….I’m going out in Lewes tonight for some real ale and a curry.

Sun's just come out here in mid Sussex. Another load of panic about nothing. Although I expect a government announcement shortly telling us we cannot leave our homes except for 30 minutes exercise a day, we cannot meet anyone anywhere, and we must all have an anti-storm vaccine.

Typical 'I can't see it, so it isn't happening' Perhaps you'd like to be like the 14,000 people in Truro who've lost their power?

West is BEST
careful not to fly off then.
Unfortunately for the first time I was not happy with brekkie at the perch. Had to send it back. Fry up. Half of it clearly been cooked with previous orders and left under a lamp, other half was snotty, undercooked (clear egg white) and undercooked sausages.

It’s usually great in there so I asked myself why. Then I looked about. Schools are all closed for storm, so despite warnings to keep children inside, the “I want my latte” mob have just dragged them all out with them. Making the normally busy but manageable Perch into an infant filled Hellscape. Chef got overwhelmed I reckon.

God forbid the Dryrobe Mums don’t get their post school drop-off coffee and chat about shit.

The staff were great though and sorted it all out quickly without fuss. And so got a good tip.

Here in Patcham, we've got blue sky appearing from the west.

The wind and gusts haven't died down though.

It’s very odd weather here, the forecast is below showing we should be having 70mph winds but there is hardly a breeze, except for one gust which blew part of the roof off my bin shed!

Back in Sussex
Big Jet TV live from Heathrow is "interesting" viewing.

Cuirrently a flight from Vienna coming in, kinda sideways, for his third attempt to land.
