Good player, very quick. Not many Turkish players have a lot of success abroad though but doesnt mean this guy cant succeed.

Born and bred in Holland with the same agent as Veltman with two years of the Eredivisie under his belt before he went to Turkey.

He may well have signed a pre-contract somewhere (as has Groß probably) but it’s not great to announce this whilst playing for the club you intend to leave.

As he’ll be on a free, not a big gamble for the club. That pace has to be useful along with the fact he plays every position:

Really exciting addition if the rumours are true and looks like he will really suit our style.

We almost signed Livramento in the last window but we would not sign up for Chelsea’s glorified loan deal.

This guy looks like filling the role he’d have been earmarked to undertake; a lightening quick alternative to Lamptey on the right.

This from a Turk website today:

“Brighton, one of the English Premier League teams, signed a 5-year contract with Ferdi Kadıoğlu.

Ferdi Kadıoğlu, whose contract with Fenerbahçe will expire at the end of the season, has signed with the Premier League team Brighton.”

Indeed. If there is nothing in it Naylor is usually quick to say so as someone at the club will have told him so. Therefore a rumour to keep an eye on for me.

Does anyone think we are buying more young players than we can actually play in the first team? It seems so to me.

It seems that we are identifying many hot prospects worldwide, getting them to sign for us while still young (and therefore cheap), and keeping them on ice for the future, either as first team prospects, or, dare I say, as investments which will rise in value, to sell on.

I'm not complaining by the way. Just observing.

It is our policy to buy young players and bring them on. If we are going to do that, we may as well aim high and go for the best. We are an attractive proposition as they are more likely to break through at a #teamlikeBrighton than they are at the bigger clubs. Long may it continue.
