Fantastic singer - brilliant songs. Fondly remembered as Eddie in the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

RIP Big man

(as a bit of Meat Loaf trivia, the female performer in Anything for Love was picked for looks; she didn't sing the song. The vocalist was Lorraine Crosby who turned up on The Voice and IIRC didn't get a turn!!)

Just reminded myself of the words to Objects in the rear view mirror …. A great song but about things so sad. What a pair him and Steinman were, just an amazing partnership. RIP fellas.

I saw him at the Centre, late 70s/ early 80s, the first song of the set was Bat out of Hell.
I still don’t understand that, if ever a song was made for an encore, it’s Bat out of Hell.

Anyway, RIP Marvin, I will go vegetarian today in tribute.

RIP. Loved listening to the Bat out of Hell Album in the mid 90's when I was about 10 years old

At the end of my tether
R IP … A very sad loss to the rock music world. He was a unique performer, a real character who gave 110% on stage .There will never be his equal, and now he is gone….

RIP fella.

One of my favourite songs

Brilliant - somewhat coincidentally I posted this on the ‘What’s The Best Song You’ve Heard Today’ thread earlier this week.

Even more strangely I’ve just found out that the woman who sings the female vocal on ‘I’d Do Anything’(Mrs Corner thought this was from ‘Oliver’ by the way) is Lorraine Crosby. Nowadays she presents a country programme on Spotlight(a very MOR country channel)

I love this album, but that song stands out.

and Ellen Foley on Paradise by the dashboard light.

RIP Meat. If you and Jim had only done the Bat out of Hell album and nothing else you would still have been legends.
