You probably said the same thing about Welbeck before we signed him.

Martial would immediately become our best player... and is way, way out of our wage budget limitations.

So not a realistic signing.
He's a good player but I disagree he would instantly become our best player. Welbeck is a great player but also didn't become our best when he joined.

I'm not at all surprised given he's barely getting any minutes.

I actually think he has a lot of potential and could be a good signing for someone, but that someone won't be us. One of Europe's elite clubs, like Juve, Inter or Madrid, will snap him up... he will be way out of our wage structure.

….is just as out of our league….

Possibly but no where near as much Martial. I assume Lingard will want to stay here to try and get back in the England squad. I don't disagree there will be suitors ahead of us in that market and its unlikely we'd be able to compete with them.

Martial on the other will go to A N Other champions league club I expect.

Newcastle getting linked to every player moving club anytime ever now. Agents obviously sniffing another trough to dip their snouts into

A dream for clubs keen to offload a raft of erratic/non performers on big wages, at double the price any club will pay.

Everton on steroids.
