At no time did I say they were booing him because of his colour. As we all know they were booing him because they believe he is a sex offender, an offence with which he has not been charged. He happens to be black, so they booed an innocent black man for the entire game. It was no different to that dished out to others, but particularly pathetic after clapping the teams taking the knee, then going on to abuse a black player for the entire game. Not sure what some are having difficulty understanding here, it really is very simple.

Why are you linking the two things at all ? Their fans wouldn’t have done, he was booed because of the alleged offence he’s under investigation for, not his skin colour. If it had been a different (white) player, precisely the same thing would have happened.

Liverpool fans didn't giving Biss any grief. For me, that shows the class of their fans compared with the total scum at Leicester FC,
and the Newcastle fans yesterday, many of whom were complete and utter w****rs.

As I left the ground last night with my son, a Newcastle fan ran up to us and shoved his finger about a foot from my face and screamed:
“Wor fookin’ goalkeepa is ah cheating’ coont!” - before running off again!

…we pissed ourselves laughing

"wor" translates from the Geordie to English as "our", I suspect he said Yor, not wor. The sentence would then translate as "Your goalkeeper thoroughly deserved his sending off"

Taking the knee is to do with racism and equality.

Booing a black because of his race, or not booing a white player they have decided has done something wrong, yet booing a black player, would be at odds with taking the knee.

They didn't boo Biss because of his race, they would have booed if he was white.

So where taking the knee etc is concerned there is no conflict.

They were just being idiots, they weren't being racist or hypocritical idiots. Just idiots.

Nah, sorry, they were booing a man.

Taking the knee is about BLM, booing an oppo player about an police investigation is not about skin colour.

It's not though. I shared your post with my best friend who is black and also went to the game and he thinks that people like you looks for a problem that does not exist. It's a shame, most people want racial equality but some people like yourself ( he means this in a good way ) are putting it back again.

A group of “Geordies” (London accents) were at the Evening Star before the game. Only one knob singing loudly anti Biss songs. Harmless but pisses me off that if we did similar at any away pubs we would rightly be told where to go. Drinking lager and shots in The Evening Star though

That last sentence sums them up SSB

I would have thought it was obvious. What sounded like a majority of their fans chose to spend the entire game abusing a black player, our black player, who has not yet even been charged with any offence. Moments earlier these same away fans stood and applauded the teams taking the knee. Moronic behaviour by a fan base who used to show some class. Those saying we knew it would happen, yes of course we knew, it doesn't make it any less pathetic. I appreciate it wasn't all of them but it was a large number.

On Rodriguez and Bong

Any chance JR said 'get back, you stink' with GB mishearing this as 'you're black, you stink'? Still a retarded thing to say, but easily misheard in the melee?

On Hamilton being Greatest Living Sportsman

Sure he can drive the fastest car, but he has regularly been a whining little prick when he doesn't get his own way. Part of being a great sportsman is showing grace in defeat, that is why many don't like him.

???

Brighton station I saw a Brighton fan with three young children in tow goading a couple of Newcastle fans one of the children was in tears obviously upset at the sight, the Newcastle fans did their best to ignore this idiot but it took a couple of other Brighton fans to step in and calm the Brighton fool.

We do seem to be cultivating a section of silly fans who to me are trying to recreate the 1970s mentality I can only hope they fail

Methinks that NogansRun is a one man wind-up project. Everyone, including Trained Marxists like me, are shaking our heads, sadly. Begone!

There was a group of Geordie fans on our train from Brighton to Falmer and they were singing to their hearts content. Notable songs included "We're richer than you", a couple of risky songs that included Biss and Adam Johnson, but the best was a constant rendition of "tottenham get battered". Been to may games against Newcastle and their fans are on the best in terms of generating noise.

Sounds like great banter. fans singing on a train heading to a game. BEST IN THE WORLD.
