The Clock Tower in Preston Park, the Clock in Brighton Station and the Clock Tower at the Palace Pier are all in a straight line.

I'm going to need proof of this one...

It just doesn't seem right, I spent a load of time at the clock tower in Preston Park in my teens, it just doesn't seem (to me) that Brighton station is directly in between that and the clock tower at the pier. Am I missing something?

Nah, it's not. Sounds like an urban Brighton myth. Like Hitler not bombing the Royal Pavilion because it was going to be his English home.

You probably perceive London Road as being a straight line from Preston Park to the Pier when it actually isn't.

Have taken into account that the earth is round and not flat, so it just looks crooked due to the curvature of the earth.

When I was a youth it was possible to purchase Tippex thinners however it appears that this most useful product is no longer available

Another Tory "fact" that doesn't stand up to scrutiny?

My fact is this:
Bee stings are the largest killer of humans in the U.S. directly caused by animals and this number is rising as the aggressive African honey bee colonises Texas.

As at 2019, of the 108 billion people that have ever lived, 52 billion are estimated to have died from malaria. This makes the mosquito the leading cause of human death.

My first job was a trainee accountant at a local firm in ship street.

After the coffee/ tea run, we used to take all the plastic cups, made sure there was some liquid left over in each…pile them all up together in a tall tower and drip some tipped thinners in the top one and like the film Alien, it would eat its way all the way through to the bottom.

OMG was first used in 1917 by an admiral writing to winston Churchill after finding out that someone was getting a gong he didn’t agree with.
