Obviously very happy with the points, but Jesus, what a shit game.

I thought it was really enjoyable. Game of Chess really. Both team managers trying to out fox each other.

Warren : 'We're beating teams around us. Last season, we didn't do that.' As usual, Warren is bang on. It's hugely important.

The link I was sent wouldn’t work on an ipad …… insisting on VPN. I know that’s a great route to illegal streams, but I can’t be arsed.

Instead now Radio Sussex, Cantor and Aspinall drooling over Trossard and the three points.

9 points and 3rd place by 11th September, it doesn't get much better :):albion:
I think I can say with a reasonable degree of certainty, it won't!

That was a poor game.

I don't think we played badly, especially in the 2nd half, but the high and relentless press from Brentford made it exhausting to watch. Too many stop-starts.

Brentford won't be able to press like that for 90 minutes, 38 games a season. It was effective for most of the game, but their tired legs gave us the edge in the final quarter.

I don't think we could have had many complaints it it ended up a draw... but it was a great goal from Trossard worthy of the win.

In terms of player performances, thought Cucurella showed some promise - but this fixture would be an eye opener for him about the speed and physicality of the PL.

I must admit I'm not convinced by Duffy - he is obviously a great defender especially in the air - but he offers nothing going forward or on the ball. Which makes it all the more worrying if Webster misses a few games.

Biss was a great engine as usual. Brentford put Maupay & Wellbz out of the game. Veltman put in a classy performance as usual. Sanchez looked solid.

Great result.

We really don't need Duffy to offer anything going forward or on the ball, except for set-pieces. All he needs to do is stop anything and anyone that comes his way and give the ball to Sanchez, Dunk, Webster, Biss or a wingback. If none of them are available then hoof it.

Not the best performance, but three wins against teams that are likely to be near the bottom end of the table is fantastic. Really encouraging and a step up from last year.

Scrappy, untidy, with both teams cancelling each other out and a draw might have been a fair result. But it wasn't. :) Makes a change to be on the right side of a nicked win after games in the past where we've dominated only to get mugged near the end.

Absolutely, we've already beaten Burnley away, Watford home and Brentford away.

Last season we would probably have got three maybe four points from that, this season nine.

Terrible game but great result. Obviously won't end up 3rd after a performance like that but hey ho lets enjoy tomorrow mornings rags and laugh at our position.

Trossard was better second half. Made a lot of runs behind the defence but no one was in the box. Fantastic goal!
