My first game as a non-smoker. Hopefully it wont be too nervous and exciting...

Can't predict this one. Not feeling it after the transfer window as I just can't see where the goals will come from. Really hope I'm wrong.

You do know that the team already scored four goals right?

I think Maupay will definitely cop some stick today from the home fans, hopefully this will spur him on rather than make him wilt and he will be rubbing his eyes a few times more than usual at the cameras.

Last on and a 45 second cameo on MOTD tonight as the 40 minute special on watching how good Ronny was at running up and down v Newcastle will be so spectacular the rest of the league games don't really matter .

"No Brighton player has had more shots in league matches this season than the eight by defender Shane Duffy."

How many of us would have answered that correctly if asked?

MOTD has been extended to three hours to show CR7's full game. I also note that Sky have announced their Game of the Day shown in full at around 6:00 will be Man Utd (they never say which game normally).
But here's a fact. 5 countries in the world WON'T be able to watch Ronnie live. UK, Cuba, Afghanistan and a couple of other ...stans, as 5Live keep telling us. So what will get the biggest viewing/listening figures at 3pm today?
5Live exclusive live commentary, illegal streams of the match or BBC Sussex?
Me? I'm in Brentford.

I have NEVER seen Maupay wilt but I have seen him lose his rag on too many occasions, this is much more likely than his head dropping and hiding

From the Guardian preview of today's game. Do you think their sports desk have been keeping up with our loans during August?

Safe in the knowledge that if the game ends 8-8 with 4 goals in injury time and the Utd game finishes 0-0 with no shots on target, we will still be after them on MOTD.

If we have any genuine ambition of finishing top ten (although I'm not sure we do as we didn't address the obvious in the transfer window), then this is a must win game. Think we lose 3-0

What a time to be alive, to be young was very heaven!

Still early days in the season - form not yet clear. Difficut one to predict. Hoping for a win, but predict a 1-1 draw.

Despite winning the play-offs I think they’re probably the best (or at least most suited to the PL) of the promoted teams so it won’t be an easy game. Although I think we’re stronger than them all over (apart from Toney/Maupay). So it’s a game where we should be looking for 3 points.

Sanchez
Duffy - Dunk - Webster
March - Bissouma - Groß - Cucurella
Lallana
Maupay - Welbeck

Steele, Veltman, Mwepu, Moder, Mac Allister, Trossard, Locadia

Let’s bring them back down to Earth with a bang. 0-3.

I remember when we were “Premier League ready” for what seemed like 5 seasons and in the end we got there. This is currently our strongest squad and I think we will finish higher this season than last, anything between 9th-15th, probably about 12th. Brentford away is a tough fixture, especially at the start of the season. This is not a must win game. It could go either way. If we keep progressing as we have been, I think we will end up finishing in the top ten in the not too distant future. UTA.
