Canny defending seems to have kept BZ out of the game. After an early flurry in and around the Hamburg goalmouth, that was followed by fouls, by BZ, on Boeting and others. Then after the Hamburg goal he has been getting trapped offside, and the shots dried up rather.

Bit of Hodgson magic required to change the balance!

Bobby's hold up play in this game has been better than Heskey's all season. International matches included. And he's not even fully fit.

Glad to hear, wouldn't expect anything less. I wasn't being critical, just a bit worried by opposition gamesmanship.

Just seen Bobby subbed, Dempsey on, different kind of player but well able to score. Needs to be as Fulham need two to win.

"2119: With more than half an hour remaining, Bobby Zamora is brought off. Clint Dempsey replaces the limping Fulham striker. Apparently, Fulham are considering sending Zamora for surgery - but they won't do so until they are absolutely sure he won't be going to the World Cup."
