Seems to get picked for the national team, but not every match.

Veltman, JPVH and Verbruggen from that league.
Verbruggen came from Belgium league and never played a senior club game in Netherlands. You missed Propper though, who only played in Dutch league before coming to us.

For what it's worth, I'd love to see Hinshelwood as our RB next year. We've missed him as much as anyone since his injury, and I include Mitoma in that. His defending was as good as a seasoned full back and his ability to time runs late into the box to pick up overhit or intentially deep crosses was a really useful talent.

Plus Hinsh has one of the best 1st touches on the ball I've seen in a while. Up there with Mitoma.

The top six all have recognised specialist fullbacks of high quality. Not since Bruno have we done this. Yes, Veltman, Lamperty and even Gross can do an okay job filling in at r/b but if we want to fight for Europe next season we have to buy a proper right back
Yes was a 5 piece ProgressiveRock Band in the 1970s. They’re all a bit old, if still alive, and I don’t think any of them played full-back.

but joking aside, I’d be on board for this!

I think Hinshelwood wood will be better in midfield

Is that like Nicky Rust Rust Rust?

I’ve never seen him player centre mid. I just know we lost 6-1 when he did and that he’s a bloody brilliant RB!

Mitoma weirdly was not picked to start every game for Japan either...
In all honesty it was just a casual look at the most recent line-ups, perhaps Mitoma not being picked for the 1st XI can be attributed to his injuries this season? Still, having another Japanese international in our squad would be nice.

Timing is a bit of a thing too. His star really started to rise during and after the 2022 World Cup. Although he didn't start any of the matches (subbed on at ~60mins in 3, HT v Spain) he had a big influence during his appearances and ended up being a huge player for us in the 6 months after. This season, he's only played 25 matches in all because of injury and the Asian Cup.

He's 26 and only has 20 caps, of which only 11 are starts too, which seems deceptively low for a player of his quality.
