Timing is a bit of a thing too. His star really started to rise during and after the 2022 World Cup. Although he didn't start any of the matches (subbed on at ~60mins in 3, HT v Spain) he had a big influence during his appearances and ended up being a huge player for us in the 6 months after. This season, he's only played 25 matches in all because of injury and the Asian Cup.

He's 26 and only has 20 caps, of which only 11 are starts too, which seems deceptively low for a player of his quality.
I don’t hold a lot of weight in the previous Japan manager. Had Mitoma as a sub which was bonkers after he was breaking through big time in the prem.

A lot cheaper than Kadioglu! Potentially a better deal? - mind you, I can't see us paying the £45M price tag they've put on Kadioglu - should we try and gazump Southampton?
I don’t think he is a top 6 EPL wingback. Kadıoğlu probably is though.

Yes was a 5 piece Progressive Rock Band in the 1970s. They’re all a bit old, if still alive, and I don’t think any of them played full-back.
What about when the Albion loaned LWB Alex Cochrane out during Covid? Technically, we were 'Owner Of A Lonely Heart'.
