I love the FA Cup and usually I would be really anti to fielding a weakened team. However: This year is different. The draw for us is utterly 'meh'. The League really is a priority for us this season. For this game, We don't need to expose regular starters to potential injury. If we win then all good. If not then

We have enough fringe players to field a team to be half competitive with some regular starters. Maenpaa, Chicksen, Rea, Goldson, Manu, JFC, Holla, Ince, Crofts etc would all benefit from some *real* playing time. Add to that any returning from injury.

I suspect Hull may be of the same mindset regarding this game.

Play the full development squad. If they win, great, they've earned the club a bit of cash and deserve to play whoever we get in the next round. If we lose, oh well, don't particularly want any extra games this year.

Got us a warm-up match against Co-op Dyke Road (Hove) second eleven.

A lot will depend on
(a) If we are still unbeaten in which casew it will be a strong squad to keep confidence high
(b) Who we sign if anybody so early in the window.
(c) Who is back from injury and needs game time or can cover players in case of injury

What we dont want is Calderon being the only left back option with Bong and Rosenior still out and getting injured and then having to rush on of them back too soon.

Game priced at £12 for ST Holders, and £15 for non-ST.

Suggests neither side will field much of the first team.

I assume this will be potg, as I've not bothered to order tickets & have promised to take a mate along for his first Albion experience.
