Would You Welcome Back Craig Noone?

Even Orlandi and Lopez didn't get goals out of CMS. This final ball thing is a classic Albion fan ignorant reaction based on no more than a couple of examples (which you'd expect in this league). One person says it, the rest follow like sheep trotting out the same phrases with no proper evidence. Like Murray being lazy, Greer being past it, Elphick not being able to do anything other than hoof...etc etc
You've not provided any evidence to sway opinion either. I doubt you can and my opinion is purely based on how I remember watching Noone.

I have generally positive memories of him, but at the same time I don't think he'd be more than a squad player if everyone was fit. I guess it all comes down to the type of deal we could do for him and how long it was.

That's the thing though, when have we ever had an out and out winger who set up loads and loads of goals? They don't. They set up a few and have crosses intercepted, overhit or win corners, with the odd one being buried by a target man (that we don't have).

You remember Noone beating a man and struggling to pick out CMS. Shocker.

Noone got the tag of having no end product because he didn't score many for us. Buckley (who was pisd poor at crossing too) got away with it because he scored a few in a purple patch.

Noone did well in the Premier League but saw his season ruined by injury. Given our injury crisis, if he's on the cheap due to his contract that will do me.

Who can remember all 4 (four) of his goals for the Albion?

I remember Noone beating a man and more often than not failing to pick anyone out, not just CMS. His end product is his ability to put a dangerous ball into the area. I don't remember seeing too much of that.

Anyway, I'm pleased that you have fonder memories of Noone than me and if he should return and prove me wrong, I'll gladly eat my words.

**** me. That's the point. He had nobody to pick out because we hadn't replaced Murray...and when we did with Ulloa Noone was sold to balance the books

I liked Noone, he was excellent the season Cardiff went up, and was decent in the PL. I'd be pleased if we got him back, thought it was a wrong move when we let him go.

Welcome here.
Like a lot of wingers, had patches of good and poor form, but when he was good he was very good.

Everyone saying his final ball was crap but when we was at with dean he had Murray and wood to aim at at the amex it was cms, the minute he moved to Cardiff he set up loads of chances for the big lumps

Sorry, I am really lost now. I don't have a clue what you are going on about. You rate Noone. I don't as highly as you. Get over it.

Would be a useful squad addition, could be a goer as he's out of contract at the end of the season and Cardiff seem to be trying to trim the wage bill. We need greater squad depth as well as improvements to the 1st XI. If it's one of Knockaert and Noone, I'll take Knockaert thanks but both would be good news.
