I heard Jenas talking about Spurs' wages on the radio last night in the same vein. Generally, Jenas is ok on the radio, but he said:
- Spurs need big recruitment to go to the next level (really?)
- Spurs players "deserved" to be on about twice their current wage :)lolol::lolol:.)

Now you can make the point Spurs pay less than the others in the top 4, but rather than say this was to the Club's credit, he criticised Levy for it.

Too many snouts in the trough.

PG

It's mental - Spurs and Arsenal spend within the clubs means and get slated for it.

If he is to sign anew contract we would expect Stockdale to want the same wage as Stephens etc.

As will many other key players in the squad. It'll get expensive very quickly - the exact reason most in the PL didn't make a profit before the new deal and likely won't again in the next few years.

Jenas is a pillock, one of them players that wants football to stay as an old boys club and is critical in any discussion which involves new approaches to football

If we paid our top 25 players £50,000 a week that would still only account for about half our next seasons revenue.

Not sure where those figures come from but there's a lot of speculation mixed with bollocks in the numbers, as they don't add up.

The figures for Knockaert and Stephens sound reasonable given they have signed new deals, but £25k a week average in the Championship is nonsense. Top earners yes, but majority of first team squad no is my view.

The club said the bonus was a flat 10% to all staff which is very different to what this article says too.

Barber said in an interview (think it was on the Football Focus piece a few weeks ago) that it was 10% for everyone, plus up to another 10% based on their own performance.
