I think if Woodgate comes here, it will be on Gus's terms, possibly small retainer and pay as you play or similar, or possibly short term contract. To be fair, I'd rather have Woodgate at Championship level, than when we kept dragging on Gary Hart (sorry!) legacy at League One.

Woodgate when playing would be the best defender in this division. If we got him on a pay as you play anyone saying they didn't want him here is quite frankly very very thick.

Could be the best British defender IF fit. Would be a great pay as you play defender but think he'd start at all but a couple clubs in the country if fit so more likely to sign on somewhere else. 0.1% chance but CMS was probably 1% and Gus convinced him. A 6 month deal here then a big pay day elsewhere top half Prem might be better for him than a 2 year pay as you play deal at someone like Stoke or Leeds.
