I‘m sure most of the rail staff would be glad of the pay structure Chelsea currently offer their staff - the trains would still end up dumped in The Shed End when they find out how shit the management are in updating them 😉

the civil servants as they always do. and thats not a snark, politicans are there to set policy, sign off some high level matters, not day to day operations.

'The markets' did a pretty good job at asserting their control a couple of months ago
not sure reacting to the unfunded not-a-budget was "control", more fright. all reversed btw, doesn't make for headlines, bonds rates back to mid September levels.
