Which double bed for a rental property?

Wow, makes me realise my landlord does jack shit. Just painted my living room as it was yellow and then the landlord has just put my rent up by £60 a month. Asked him if we could get laminate flooring as the carpet is shit, his reply was 'if you pay for it'.

Can Landlords just up the rent these days?

I thought there were rent tribunals to dispute these.Or does that only apply to unfurnished property.

What bed did you go for in the end?
I went for an Ikea one, and it's been good. I've slept in it (a Landlord's duty I believe), and think it's comfortable.

If I were you I would change your Tennant contract. I always stipulate unless an item is beyond repair, it is the tenants responsibility or decision to replace an item. I found in the past people start taking the piss.
Interesting option, but too late for me, we no longer have tenants.

At the end of a contract they can.
