I often get a new camera (well usually second hand) it is a 'thing' i have. Why do you prefer yellow the focus?

It's polycarbonate I believe. Nothing has happened to the roof itself, other than most likely algae growth on the surface.

Was the original plan to actually have the roof green in the first place to blend in with the countryside ? i thought i read that somewhere many moons ago before the stadium was even built .

I can't remember the specific details to be perfectly honest , but i do recall reading that the design of the roof would be green , now if that was grass i missed that , but anybody that has a plastic roof on their shed or garden tool store will after a couple of years outside at some point cleaned off the algae , i suppose after a certain amount of time the weight of the moss / algae would cause a concern if it had not been calculated into the stress bearing plans of the beams that support the roof , the west stand will cave in first due to the amount of hot air being wafted up to the rafters add to that the steam CH generates on a matchday and it's a veritable breeding ground up there on the roof , it's just as well we actually didn't install that glass ceiling .
