Remember when you switched on the TV and having to wait for a few minutes for it to warm up for a picture to appear?

The little blue bags of salt in Smiths Crisps
Leather footballs
Football BOOTS not the lightweight shoes they wear these days and moreover black not the various colours of the rainbow we have today
Footballers travelling to "work" on the bus
Vinyl singles for 6 shillings (or was it 6/3)
And, as others have mentioned, decent bloody tv not the crap that's on these days
Most importantly politeness - nobody seems to have any manners these days <sigh>
God what a moaning old sod I seem to be !!!!

Did anyone see the item on the BBC1 10 O'clock News tonight, that illustrated the shut down of Megaupload with a screen that faded to a white dot in the middle?

Haha, brilliant. I wonder if the graphic made any sense to people who've only ever known plasma and LCD screens...

9 pence to enter the East Enclosure at the Goldstone hence my user name. Adults were one shilling and nine pence. The striker who left the Albion for Crystal Palace (Bert Addinall). Away from football: Trolley Buses and a very busy Pool Valley as the Southdown Bus Station. Later the Regent Ballroom and the Coffee Bar below the Blue Gardenia Club in Queens Square........
