2 rashers of bacon
Hand full of sliced mushrooms

All fried in the pan, with the 'shrooms cooking in the bacon fat
Drop in egg or two so whites combine with the other ingredients.

With plenty of tea and sourdough toast.

No mention of American breakfast.
Now, I love a full English (but not tomatoes)
I also love a proper Kipper.
But when the mood takes me pancakes with maple syrup etc is delicious.

3 slices of smoked bacon and 2 Black Farmers sausages inside a freshly baked and buttered baguette.

3 or 4 grilled mushrooms on the side.

Touch of tomato sauce.

1/2 pint of Innocent smooth OJ.

Seriously if you are suggesting tinned tomatoes you are a wrong 'un

They only thing on a breakfast plate that is acceptable to come out of a tin is Heinz baked beans

The mind BOGGLES! Nothing beats the acidic tang to cut through the grease of a tinned tomato.

I used to be a 'beaner' and changed over about 20 years ago, there is no turning back.

You need to choose a breakfast depending on many things, eg a hangover, early or late start, cold outside or warm, in a rush or not, healthily eating phase etc. depending on those i have favourites like big fry up, porridge, croissant and smoked salmon and scrambled eggs

Have to agree with that.

Going out to football, winters day, and an all day session.....full English, with loads of tea, without doubt.

Warm Summers day, fresh fruit salad and decent coffee.

I'm a big porridge fan, with dried fruit, nuts and honey added.

Just heaven after a cold, wet run.

Has to be cooked slowly in a pan though, no nuking in a microwave

During the week it's black coffee, a croissant and The Guardian. This is week day perfection.

The perfect full English was called The Pile Up, and existed on the menu at Harry's English restaurant on Church Rd, Hove. All the ingredients were quality, and it had bacon, sausage, 'shrooms, fried egg, hash browns, beans, black pudding, a fried slice and toast on the side.
