I couldn't be more jealous. Got into them from Wilder onwards, but only starting going to gigs from '83. Massive Teardrops fan and Julian Cope. Seen Copey about 20+ times, always entertaining, starting with the infamous mic-stand stomach slashing incident at Hammersmith Palais in 1984!
Xtc are the other band I missed out on, just :(
Can't think of 12 just now, but the Damned at the GLC free concert(84) in Hyde Park & The Adicts/Pogue Mahones/King Kurt/Dancing Tarantulas(83) at the Lyceum were very memorable, latter very messy !! :)

XTC were one of the best live bands I ever saw and I used to see them whenever they played within reach. The amazing thing is that Andy Partridge was crippled by stage fright, and yet if you'd ever seen him you'd have thought he was loving it up there. I loved the fact that the songs were completely different when played live.

Got a couple of good quality recordings of their live shows if you're interested?

Wow, jealous again! Presumably AP, Moulding, Chambers & Gregory? Or are you lucky enough to have seen them with Barry Andrews too? I should have been born a couple of years earlier !!!
Always hoped Xtc would play live again at some stage, but it wasn't to be. Gave up any realistic hope when Dave Gregory left. Epic band. Agree with your comment re stage fright. Very odd. He always comes across as very extrovert. I have a whole case of live cassettes, in my loft, so most probably have your recordings, but many thanks for the offer mate :)
